After some way-too-early-in-the-morning gift unwrapping ....
we headed off to breakfast where Alex chatted up our fellow diners and chowed down on (lots and lots of) pancakes.
Our first inclination was to spend the day at a nearby-ish farm, but given that temps were expected to be close to 100, we opted instead for a new-to-Alex indoor children's museum. It was a good choice; both boys LOVED it.
After lunch, we stopped for ice cream and headed home for some time to play with gifts.
I think we managed to wear him out. By 6:30pm, the birthday boy was asleep.
