We're quite ready for spring to arrive!

But, alas, we got another nine inches of snow today, instead.

Owen was thrilled! Alex was ... somewhat less thrilled. I think he's had enough of the white stuff for one winter. It's a good thing we're not living on the east coast!

When not frolicking in the snow, we've been trying to keep spirits high however we can.

We've made Chinese Lanterns ... and we've made "goop".

(I was, incidentally, far too optimistic in thinking that the towel would contain the mess.)

We've made paper bag costumes.

(What?! ... he's perfectly safe.)

We've buttered bread for grilled cheese sandwiches ... and sampled butter intended for said sandwiches ... and given up all pretense of sampling butter intended for said sandwiches and simply chowed down on buttter.

(Yuck!)

And, we've dismantled the old water softener and gone at the years-old salt with crowbars and plastic beach shovels and kitchen serving spoons.

(Again ... perfectly safe; see the safety goggles?)

Yup. We're quite ready for spring.
