Why I'm Not a Speech Therapist
It occured to me the other day that Alex doesn't include "s" sounds at the beginning of words. So, "socks" is "ocks". "Spooky spider" is "pooky biter". "See" is "tee". I thought I'd try to intervene by getting him to say "sss -" "ocks" and "sss -" "pooky" and so forth. We were making some progress. Then, tonight at dinner, he proudly said "sss -" "grandma". :)

We have learned so much about speech the past 6 months with Michelle doing therapy. I believe the sss sound is one of the hardest to make - we aren't even close to working on that one.
That's cute that he put his own "spin" on it!
ha ha ha ha...that is too funny!! !:) Josh omits several sounds from his form of the english lauguage and I too have tried to play speach therapist. We don't use the "d". Rink, yaddy, og, own....so I am always saying....D...d...d....Daddy or d...d..d....Drink. And one day I said Josh say please...and he belted out...D...d...d....PLEASE MOMMY!! guess he really wanted that rink!! :) hee hee
